Josh has been a court officer with the Toronto Police Service since 2009. He spent the beginning of his career at College Park Courthouse where he gained valuable experience working with some of the cities most disadvantaged and marginalized people. His work at College Park saw him take on many leadership roles including Coach Officer, Location Training Officer, and Acting Supervisor. From 2011-2016 he served as both an executive and chair of The Services’ LGBTQ Internal Support Network where he made it a priority to improve the culture through visibility, programming, and dialogue. During the same period, he assisted the external LGBTQ community in having a voice within the Toronto Police Service by being a member of the Chief’s LGBTQ Community Consultative Committee.
Josh is passionate about training and development and currently works as a Training Instructor at the Toronto Police College. He develops and delivers comprehensive programming for service members including the LGBTQ Awareness lesson for all new recruits.
