Constable Danielle Bottineau is an out and proud member of the Toronto Police Service. She has been serving Toronto for 19 years, spending the last 8 years as the LGBTQ Liaison Officer. In her role, she has taken what was once a difficult relationship with the LGBTQ community, and has developed the relationship to one of respect, openness, and trust. Both the service and the community see her as the reason for the successes of the partnership with the LGBTQ community. She has a global reach, working with international police services to educate and build bridges to their communities. She can be found regularly speaking to schools and groups, as well as guest lecturing at colleges and universities. Danielle resides in Toronto with her wife of 12 years.
